A waterproof, breathable membrane in three-layer construction. Nordwand and Eiger Extreme use the Pro version — higher abrasion resistance and a longer life on sharp ground.

Ajungilak

The Norwegian school of sleeping bags, now part of Mammut. Well-planned baffles, thermal collars and honestly measured comfort ratings — in both down and synthetic.

Barryvox

From a ropewalk in Dintikon to the north faces

Mammut was founded in 1862 in Dintikon, Switzerland, where Kaspar Tanner started twisting rope. It took decades for a ropewalk to become one of the most respected mountain brands in the world — but the principle never changed: make the thing a person can hang from.

Today Mammut, headquartered in Seon, Switzerland, covers the whole mountain. Ropes, harnesses and climbing hardware. Packs from summit-day to expedition. Clothing from base layers to expedition down. Yes. Every Mammut item we sell is genuine, comes with the full manufacturer warranty and a proof of purchase. Nothing is grey-market or a replica.

Orders over 150,00 € ship free. Anything in stock normally leaves us within 24 hours on working days — via Packeta, courier or a pickup point. The exact options and prices appear in the cart once you pick a delivery country.

Mammut cuts European, so slimmer than most American brands. With shells, expect a hardshell to fit over a fleece rather than over heavy down. With boots we suggest half a size up from your street shoes — toes need room on descents. If you are unsure, call us or come to the shop in Námestovo and try it on.

For most ski tourers the standard three-antenna model with a simple search mode is enough. The advanced version adds extended functions for multiple burials, which guides and rescuers will want. A transceiver always needs a probe and a shovel alongside it — without them it is unusable. Practise with the device before the season, not during it.

Eiger Extreme is the expedition flagship — the lightest and warmest pieces for extreme conditions, priced accordingly. Nordwand is the technical alpine range for winter routes, ice and mixed ground: heavier-duty, more abrasion resistant, meant for hard use all season. Put simply: Eiger Extreme for an expedition, Nordwand for winter at home.

Mammut products carry the statutory 24-month warranty. We handle claims ourselves — you never have to deal with the manufacturer. For life-safety equipment (ropes, harnesses, carabiners), also watch the service life the manufacturer states, which applies regardless of the warranty.
